Oppo A2 Pro is the company's first smartphone with a curved AMOLED screen, a Dimensity 7050 CPU, and a free battery replacement program.

  •  Oppo's latest A-series device, the A2 Pro, was launched in China earlier today. It has a curved 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7050 chipset. Oppo also claims that the 5,000 mAh battery within the A2 Pro would easily last you at least 4 years after purchase. If the battery health goes below 80% within four years of purchase, Oppo will replace it for free.

According to Oppo's testing, the battery regained 88% of its original capacity after 1,000 charge cycles, which should be enough to handle one charge per day for four years before dropping below 80%. The 5,000 mAh cell has 67W wired charging as well as a patented battery health engine and power chip that monitor charging and prevents overheating and overcharging.

The A2 Pro comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Despite the big camera island and four cutouts on the rear, the camera configuration is limited to a 64MP main camera (f/1.7 aperture, 0.7m pixels) and a 2MP depth assist. ColorOS 13.1 on top of Android 13 handles the software. In addition, an IP54 water and dust resistance rating and an in-display fingerprint scanner are included.The Oppo A2 Pro is available in Vast Black, Desert Brown (vegan leather), and Twilight. The 8.128GB model costs CNY 1,799 ($248), while the 12/512GB variant costs CNY 2,399 ($330). The first open sales in China are set to commence on September 22.
